about Rachel White
Rachel White is a digital and mobile photographer based in Seattle,
Washington. She makes images with her Canon 5d mark III,
Canon 5d mark II, and iPhone 5S.
"Self-taught and powered by a mild case of OCD, I aim to capture extraordinary moments in time. I'm privileged to share my creative talents while helping clients give voice to their ideas through collaborative and provocative image creation.
I'm a geek girl, story teller, idea connector, grammar crusader, loud laugher and proud Seattle native - born and raised - and I love my town. In 2006 I left the world of civil litigation to serve the creative industries in the Seattle Mayor's Office of Film + Music. I've grown to know and love our vibrant Film, Music and Nightlife communities where inspiration waits around every corner. Over the years, my own creative side evolved and led me to my passion - telling stories through imagery. While I still actively support our local creative community, I left the corporate world in 2014 to pursue freelance photography. I've never slept less. And I've never felt more rewarded.
Before starting Off White Photography, I shared and exhibited my work under the alias @iwife. Prints of my iPhone photography have been exhibited and sold in Seattle, Washington, shown in exhibitions across the globe, and featured on Grryo.com where I contribute stories, app reviews and articles alongside an incredibly talented international community of mobile photographers.
Through photography, I've made lifelong friends who share my love of storytelling and building community through art. Since 2012, partnerships with Seattle-based Grryo (formerly WeAreJuxt) have made it possible for me to co-produce and participate in gallery shows as well as interactive exhibitions featuring the art of mobile photography."
